Our community welfare drives reach the most vulnerable across Tamil Nadu with food, warmth, and care.
For all the long-term development work Geo India Foundation undertakes, we never lose sight of the most immediate and urgent need: that families in our communities must have enough to eat today. Our Community Welfare and Food Support programme ensures that no family — whether in an urban slum, a resettlement colony, a rural village, or a tribal settlement — faces hunger without someone reaching out a hand.
Since 2016, we have conducted 50+ food distribution drives and welfare events, serving over 10,000 meals and reaching 20+ areas across Tamil Nadu. Our drives are not one-time events — they are systematic, recurring outreach efforts that identify the most vulnerable households and ensure they receive consistent support through food packages, cooked meals, blankets, clothing, and emergency assistance.
We also organise special drives on festivals, national days, and during emergency situations — ensuring that vulnerable families can celebrate with dignity alongside the rest of society. Whether it is Pongal, Diwali, or the aftermath of floods, Geo India Foundation\'s volunteers are on the ground.
Our welfare activities span immediate hunger relief, seasonal support, and emergency response — all grounded in respect for the dignity of every person we serve.
Distributing dry ration kits containing rice, lentils, oil, and essential food items to vulnerable families in slums, resettlement colonies, and remote villages on a regular schedule.
Organising mass cooked meal events for street dwellers, construction workers, and isolated elderly residents — serving hot, nutritious food with dignity and compassion.
Distributing blankets, warm clothing, and essential winter items to homeless individuals, elderly persons, and families in temporary shelters during cold months.
Rapid deployment of food, water, and essential supplies to communities affected by floods, cyclones, and other disasters — often reaching affected areas within 24 hours of a crisis.
Our food distribution programmes have provided consistent nutritional support to thousands of families facing acute poverty — preventing hunger-related health complications for children and elderly members.
Festival welfare drives have enabled hundreds of destitute families and individuals to celebrate Tamil Nadu\'s cultural festivals with food, clothing, and dignity — reducing social exclusion during important community events.
Rapid emergency deployments during floods and cyclones have reached thousands of displaced families with food and essential supplies within hours — demonstrating the power of an organised, committed volunteer network.
Elderly individuals living alone or in destitute conditions are prioritised in our welfare drives, receiving food, blankets, and regular check-ins from volunteers who ensure they are not forgotten.
Welfare drives have built bridges across communities — bringing together donors, volunteers, and recipients in shared acts of generosity that strengthen the social fabric of Tamil Nadu\'s diverse communities.
Our welfare drives have mobilised hundreds of volunteers who experience the profound impact of service — creating a growing culture of social responsibility and empathy among Tamil Nadu\'s youth and professional communities.
A small donation from you can feed a family for a day, keep an elderly person warm through winter, or help a community recover from disaster. Join our welfare drives as a donor or a volunteer — every act of compassion matters.
