Access to menstrual hygiene products is an essential, often overlooked, component of women’s rights.
70% of Indian girls and women cannot afford menstrual supplies. The average women spends 2535 days of her life menstruating, regardless of her financial or social situation, she must purchase pads, tampons or menstrual cups to bleed for nearly seven years of her life
Since our establishment, Geo India Foundation has been able to achieve the following under our wonder women care program. Through this initiative more than 1.14 million menstrual napkin pads has been distributed to adolescence girls, mothers and including girls studying in state government schools and aided schools.
Our main objective is to end Period poverty. Period poverty is the lack of access to sanitary products, menstrual hygiene education, toilets and hand washing facilities. The core of this campaign is to educate and to meet the menstrual hygiene necessity of under privileged women and girls.
