GIF academy
Education is an important avenue for upgrading the economic and social conditions of the disadvantaged groups in rural communities.
Education is an input not only for economic development of tribes and backward communities but also for internal strength of the communities which helps them in meeting the new challenges of life.
Geo India Foundation has been able to achieve the following under our GIF academy program. Through this program tribal and backward community children are getting proper education through our kindergarten. Underprivileged and well deserving young students are availing financial support for their higher education.
Education and Aid
The objective of this program is to encourage children and young students to attain proper education and to improvise the socio-economic status of the entire tribal and other backward community by ensuring access to better education without any discrimination.
We ensure
- Ensures to motivate parents through village meetings to send their children to the school.
- Provision of educational material, school uniform, school bags and shoes for the tribal children.
- Providing nutritious rich lunch to the tribal children.
- Follow up of the children to attend the school after their pass out from class VII of school.
- Conducting special evening classes for students after their school hours in our centre.
- Ensuring well deserving underprivileged young student to get financial aid for their higher education.
- Aiding students for the hostel accommodation in their institution.
Our impression
Kindergarten
- Geo India Foundation is running two kindergartens, one for the children in a tribal village and another kindergarten for the backward community children in a rural village.
- More than 200 tribal children are benefitting by our kindergarten.
- Our kindergarten here in these villages is also a kind of health centre.
- Immunization programs, awareness camps and medical checks are also conducted regularly.
- Supplementary food is provided to children regularly.
- More than 9 children are cured from skin disease through proper and continuous medical treatment by our doctor team.
Education aid
- More than 272 students are studying their higher education in general studies and technical studies under our GIF academy program.
- Through our education partner – Cognizant outreach, we are conducting online training for computer soft skills, effective communication and career development workshops to all our students, studying in colleges under the GIF academy program.
